About Kate

I am a degree-qualified naturopath with a passion for anything related to the brain: how it works, the different ways it can function, why things go wrong, and how we can support it.

I work within the paediatric space, where I support children with conditions such as anxiety, PANS/PANDAS, OCD, ADHD, Autism, behavioural issues, concussion, and sleep struggles. A key focus of my approach is exploring and treating the gut-brain connection to reduce symptoms and improve long-term health.

I love research and science, and I want to understand deeply the how and the why of the ways our bodies work, but also respect and incorporate traditional naturopathic knowledge such as herbal medicine. And because I am a bit of a nerd who always wants to learn more, I’m always looking to continue my knowledge in this area through ongoing education and mentoring.

Outside my clinic time, I am busy being a mother to two children and two dogs, living and playing on Wurundjeri land in North Warrandyte. I love going to bed early with a good book, eating delicious food, coffee, and G&Ts, live music, exploring new places, and long walks through the city or the Warrandyte bush.

Kate’s focuses on finding the causes of symptoms. When we understand the causes, we can make changes for long-term wellbeing.

Experience

In addition to her Naturopathic degree, Kate brings a diverse range of training and experiences to her practice that showcase her commitment to expanding her knowledge in pediatric health.

Kate has completed The Moore Method practitioner accreditation with Keonie Moore, a renowned practitioner in pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS and PANDAS). This intensive training over 5 months, focused on this unique condition that results in symptoms of anxiety, tics, and OCD in children following infection.

However, perhaps one of Kate's most valuable assets is her real-life experience as a parent to two small children. She understands the challenges of managing a busy family while also prioritising health and wellness. Kate has honed her skills in negotiating meal times, supplements, and other health-related issues with her own kids, and she has an array of tricks up her sleeve to help other families navigate these struggles. Her experience as a parent adds a unique perspective to her practice and allows her to empathise with her clients, making her a relatable and trusted healthcare provider for families seeking naturopathic care.
